Description
Grange Farmhouse is a farmhouse, now a house, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of squared coursed limestone and has a Welsh slate roof. The building features a three-unit plan and stands two to three storeys high. The front has a three-window range of tall 19th-century style casements set in original openings, all under shallow stone arches. The central entrance has a 20th-century six-panel door with a similar stone head and a rectangular fanlight that includes diagonal glazing bars. The farmhouse has large ashlar quoins, ashlar gable parapets, and brick stacks at each end. To the right, there is a two-storey, three-window range that is similar in style and may have been built at the same time. The rear elevation includes window openings from the 19th and 20th centuries. Inside, there is an early 19th-century staircase with a stick balustrade, six-panel doors, and panelled window reveals. The farmhouse is included for its group value.
