Description

Huskissons Lodge is a farmhouse with origins in the 17th century, and significantly altered in the 19th century. It is constructed of squared coursed limestone, with asbestos tile and Collyweston slate roofs. Originally it comprised three units. The main front has two storeys and an irregular three-window arrangement of 19th-century casement windows, all with wooden lintels. A window on the ground floor to the right is set within a shallow stone arch. A plank door, located to the right of centre, is also beneath a wooden lintel. Large quoins are visible, along with ashlar gable parapets and brick and stone stacks positioned at the ridge and ends of the building. A two-storey, one-window range is attached to the left, matching in style and featuring a Collyweston slate roof, with 19th-century casement windows and a panelled door under a wooden lintel. 19th-century single-storey extensions extend to the far left and to the rear. A 19th-century leaded casement window is present on the rear elevation. The interior has not been inspected.
