Description
Nos. 21 and 22 on the A6003 are two houses built in the late 18th century. They are constructed of squared coursed ironstone and feature Collyweston slate roofs. Each house originally had a two-unit plan and stands two storeys high. Together, they form a five-window range with leaded casements. The first-floor windows have stone lintels and keyblocks, while the ground-floor windows feature gauged stone heads with keyblocks. There is one 19th-century single-light casement window, which is located under a wooden lintel on the first floor. Between the window ranges, there are two 19th-century plank doors, also under gauged stone heads with keyblocks. The houses have ashlar gable parapets and brick stacks at the ridge and ends. There are 20th-century extensions at the rear. The interiors have not been inspected.
