Description
Nos. 68 and 70 on Church Street in Woodnewton are two houses built in the early 19th century, consisting of two separate constructions. They are made of squared coursed limestone and topped with a Collyweston slate roof, although part of the roof was felted at the time of inspection. Each house originally had a two-unit layout, positioned at right angles to the road. The buildings are two storeys high and together form a six-window range featuring 19th-century casement windows with glazing bars, all set under wooden lintels. The doorways are located between the window ranges on either side of the center, with the left door being a six-panelled design. There are brick stacks located at the ridge and on the end of the buildings. The interiors were not inspected.
