Description

This is an early 18th-century house located on Woodnewton Road, Nassington. It is constructed of squared coursed limestone with a thatched roof and a corrugated asbestos roof. Originally planned as a three-unit dwelling, it is a single-story building with an attic. The front facade has an irregular two-window range, with casement windows set beneath wooden lintels; one lintel has been replaced. A similar casement window is positioned beneath a central eaves dormer. A 20th-century door is located on the left side, also set under a renewed wooden lintel. The left gable features two casement windows, and there are ashlar parapets. A brick and ashlar stack rises from the ridge. A 20th-century lean-to extension, with a corrugated asbestos roof, extends to the rear. The interior, which was not inspected, is noted to contain an open fireplace with a bressumer beam and a salt cupboard.
