Description
Manor house, dating from the mid-18th century. The building is constructed of brick with a first-floor band course, and has an old tile roof, hipped at one angle, with off-set and moulded brick eaves. It is arranged in an L-shape, with the south-west front originally composed of three symmetrical bays. This front features barred sash windows and hipped dormers to the outer bays; the central bay has a round-arched upper window featuring intersecting glazing bars, above double-panelled doors with a semi-circular radiating fanlight. A large central chimney stack is present. An additional bay was added to the left, which includes French windows on the ground floor, a barred sash window above, and blind windows linking it to the main block. The north-west front is irregular, with the left-hand bays containing paired casements with cambered brick arches to the ground floor. A louvred opening is visible on the ground floor of the right-hand bay. There is one hipped dormer. In the centre is a six-panelled door with a rectangular fanlight and flat hood. Group value is associated with its contribution to the character of the local area.
