Description
The White House is an 18th-century house located on the south-east side of Main Street in Padbury. It is constructed from coursed rubble stone and features a brick battered buttress between the central bays. The original thatched roof has been replaced with slate, and there are brick stacks at the gables and center. The building has one storey and an attic, with a total of four bays. The ground floor includes three-light barred casements and a canted bay window with a hipped slate roof in the second left-hand bay. There are three dormers breaking the eaves, each with paired casements. A four-panelled door is situated between the left-hand bays, and continuous timber lintels are present over the door and the left-hand window, as well as over the right-hand ground floor windows.
