Description
The Glade Farmhouse is a house dated 1743, as indicated by the initials GM on a brick between the upper right-hand windows. It features a chequer brick design with a projecting plinth and a band course at the first floor. The roof is thatched and has flanking chimneys. The building is two storeys high with an attic and has a north-facing front with three bays. The ground floor has 19th-century paired casements with brick heads that have segmental tops, while the first floor windows have moulded brick lintels. There is a central four-panelled door set in a segmental arched opening, topped with a hood supported by cut brackets above the band course. To the right of the central upper window, there is a sun fire insurance plaque.
