Description
Nos. 17-19 on Little Horwood Road are a pair of small houses dating back to the 15th century, with some alterations. The two right-hand bays feature three cruck trusses, and part of the timber frame is visible in the rear wall. The houses have been recased and extended to the left in brick, with the front covered in pebbledash. They have an asbestos slate roof and two intermediate brick chimneys. The buildings are two storeys high and consist of four bays, with the right bay slightly set back. The windows are paired barred wooden casements, with those on the ground floor having segmental heads. There are board doors with gabled timber and lattice porches situated between the left-hand bays and to the right. Additionally, there are flat-roofed 20th-century brick extensions, each one storey and one bay wide, at both ends, with the left extension featuring a door.
