Description

No. 16 High Street is a shop dating from the 18th century. The front is made of red and blue brick, featuring red brick dressings. It has an old tiled roof with a brick chimney on the right side and a projecting header eaves cornice. The building has three bays, with two upper 3-light leaded casements that have flat brick arches and small central hoods. There is a blank recessed central panel with a similar arch that has an ornamentally cut soffit. The central entrance is a glazed door, flanked by modern shop windows in the original openings on each side. Each floor also has a half bay with a recessed panel on the right side.
