Description
This building is part of the National Westminster Bank and the Two Brewers public house, dating from the 16th century with alterations. It features a timber frame with a painted stucco front and an old tiled roof adorned with five brick chimneys and two small swept dormers on the right-hand side. The structure has two storeys and an attic.
The right-hand section has two four-light upper casements and two 19th-century canted bay windows on the ground floor, flanking a modern glazed door that has a hood supported by brackets. Above the door, there is a 18th-century wrought iron sign bracket. The left-hand section contains two two-light and one three-light upper casements, with a modern door accessed by four steps and flanked by three-light casements. There is also a single light casement on the left. The far left bay, which is part of the National Westminster Bank, has a door approached by steps and a four-light casement. The left gable displays chequer brickwork. Inside, there is a truss with an arch-braced collar reported.
