Description
The Thatch Cottage is a cottage dating from the early to mid-18th century, with some alterations made in the 19th century. It is constructed of brick, which has been whitewashed on the front, and features exposed timber trusses in the gables. The roof is half-hipped, topped with straw, which sits on corrugated iron beneath the thatch. There is a brick chimney located to the right of the center of the building. The cottage is one storey high with an attic and consists of two bays. The front facade includes a paired wooden casement window on the left, a lobby entry with a 20th-century door and porch at the center, and paired leaded casements in the gable ends. Inside, the left room contains a chamfered spine beam.
