Description
No. 5 Wood End is a small house dating from the 17th century, which has been altered over time. It features a timber frame with diagonal and curved braces, and has whitewashed brick and plaster infill. The left gable has been rebuilt and rendered. The roof is covered with asbestos slate and has an altered pitch, with rendered chimneys located at the left gable and in the center. The house is two storeys high and consists of two bays. It has barred wooden casements, with three lights on the ground floor and a single light on the first floor. The entrance is located in a central 20th-century gabled porch, which has a single light to the right and a cast iron water pump to the left. There is also a small 20th-century extension made of whitewashed brick with a tiled roof, set back to the left gable.
