Description
No. 3 Wood End is a house that features a central bay with two 15th-century cruck trusses, while the flanking bays have been altered and date from the 17th to 18th centuries. The left bay is constructed of coursed rubble stone, while the rest of the building has a timber frame with brick infill. The front wall of the right bay was rebuilt in brick during the 19th century. The roof is covered with asbestos slate and there are three brick stacks: one on the right gable and two between the left-hand bays. The house is 1½ storeys tall and consists of three bays. The left bay has no windows on the front, while the right-hand bays feature barred wooden casements, with a three-light window on the ground floor and a two-light window partly in the roof. There is a half-glazed door located between the left-hand bays.
