Description
Apple Cottage is a house dating to the 17th century, with later alterations and extensions. It is timber-framed with whitewashed brick infill and a rendered plinth. The western bay has a frame of slight scantling. The roof is tiled, with brick stacks located on the right gable and between the left-hand bays. The house is of 1½ storeys and 3 bays. The north front features 20th-century paired leaded casement windows; the central first-floor window is positioned below the eaves, while the outer windows are set within gabled semi-dormers. There is a 20th-century door between the left-hand bays. The gable facing the street is of whitewashed brick and contains two single leaded casements on each floor.
