Description

The Red Lion is a 17th and 18th century public house. It is constructed of rubble stone, with some later brickwork. The roof is thatched, with brick stacks positioned on the gables and at the centre. The openings have wooden lintels. The building is two storeys high. The left-hand ground floor bays contain 2 and 3-light casement windows with metal glazing. A modern brick porch with a tiled, gabled roof sits between the right-hand bays, providing access to the entrance. To the left of the porch, a 3-light wooden casement window is set within an angled bay with a tiled roof.
