Description

The Hollies is a house dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the late 19th century. The front of the building has been rebuilt in whitewashed brick and features a moulded wooden eaves cornice. The gables are covered in whitewashed roughcast and render, likely over a timber frame. The roof, added in the 20th century, is tiled and has a central chimney made of thin brick. The house is two storeys high with an attic and consists of two bays. On the ground floor, there are late 19th-century canted bay windows with segmental-headed sashes and painted hipped roofs. The first floor has three-pane sash windows. The central entrance features a six-panelled door with a segmental head. The left gable includes an old three-light leaded casement window in the attic. There is also a lean-to structure at the rear.
