Description

The Grove is a house built in the late 17th century, featuring a T-plan layout with a later extension to the southeast that creates a cross plan. The older section of the house is timber framed, with diagonal braces and whitewashed brick infill. It has thatched roofs and a central brick chimney. The building has one storey and an attic, with the main range consisting of two bays. The windows are irregular casements, including one leaded window. The central projection has a 20th-century canted bay window, a 20th-century door, and a horizontal sliding sash window on the first floor. The extension, also with a thatched roof, is made of whitewashed brick and has one storey with the main entrance.
