Description
Jasmine Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century that has been altered over time. It features a timber frame with some curved braces and has whitewashed brick or render infill on the upper floor. The ground floor has been rebuilt in brick, which is mostly whitewashed. The bay closest to the road has been refronted in brick, partly from the early 19th century, and the house has been extended to the left, forming an L-plan. The left side is finished in whitewashed roughcast. The building has old tiled roofs, hipped to the right of the front wing, and a brick chimney, mostly rebuilt, situated between the two nearest bays.
The cottage is two storeys high with a three-bay 17th-century range and a two-bay front. The front features 20th-century wooden casements, with paired windows on the first floor and a three-light window on the ground floor to the left. There is a 20th-century door and porch to the right. The rear has similar 20th-century casements, and a 20th-century board door in the rear angle is covered by a tiled hood supported on posts.
