Description
Manor Farmhouse is a house dating from the 16th to 17th century, with alterations made in the 18th century. It is constructed from coursed semi-dressed rubble stone and features an old tile roof. The building has thin brick stacks with square shafts, including three on the right side of the front gable and two on the east gable, the latter of which has projecting brickwork above the first floor level and a diaper pattern.
The house is L-shaped and has two storeys. The front has three bays of the main wing and a gable of the cross wing to the right. The ground floor of the main wing features a 3-light leaded casement window with moulded wooden mullions, along with a 19th-century extension that obscures the left-hand bays. On the first floor, there is a barred sash window to the left, a paired modern casement window in the centre, and a paired leaded casement window with a moulded mullion to the right. The chimney stack on the left side of the gabled bay has a round oven projection on the ground floor, with 19th-century casements to the right.
The west front consists of two builds with three bays of barred sash windows beneath timber lintels, and a central panelled door that is half-glazed, situated under a flat stone hood supported by ornamental wrought iron brackets.
