Description

Little Northover is a small house dating from the 17th to 18th centuries, and has been altered since its original construction. It is built of rubble stone with timber lintels over the openings. The gable end features brick dressings, including quoins, window surrounds, a coped gable, and kneelers. The roof is thatched, with a brick stack positioned to the south of the centre. The house has one-and-a-half storeys and three bays. The front, facing northwest, is irregular; it features a three-light casement window with leaded outer panes to the ground floor of the central bay, a blank bay to the right, and a leaded casement window in the thatch of the left-hand bay. There is a 20th-century lean-to thatched porch in the angle with a 20th-century stone and thatched garage block. The rear elevation is also irregular, with three-light casement windows, some with leaded panes, a blocked doorway between the left-hand bays and a lean-to with a slate roof to the right.
