Description
Middle Cadsden is a house dating from the 17th to early 18th century, with alterations and extensions made in the 20th century. The two original bays feature a timber frame with whitewashed brick infill, while the rear gable wall has been rebuilt using flint and brick. The house has a half-hipped thatch roof, with brick chimneys located at the center and externally to the left of the front gable. It is one storey and has an attic. The front gable includes a 20th-century oriel window with leaded lights for the attic, as well as a 20th-century projecting lobby below. The left side of the house has 20th-century leaded bay windows, along with single leaded lights to the left, center, and above the left window. There is a lean-to and a large thatched 20th-century wing to the right. Inside, the house features diagonal braces, spindly wind-braces, and chamfered spine beams.
