Description
This small barn, dating from the late 18th century, is located approximately 25 yards west of Glory Hill Farmhouse. It features a timber frame and is weatherboarded, topped with a plain tiled roof. The south side has a lean-to outshut on the left and full-height boarded doors on the right. On the north side, there is a central boarded door and a single glazing bar window to the left. Inside, the barn retains an almost complete timber frame, although it has been partly re-roofed. The wall framing includes mid-rails, some straight braces, and jowled posts. There are also some introduced machine-sawn trusses with queen-posts and ties, and the roof is supported by through-purlins. This barn is included for its group value with the nearby farmhouse.
