Description

The Sun Houses at 4, 6, and 8 Highover Park are a group of reinforced concrete houses built in 1934 for Mr C de Peyer by Aymas D Connell of Connell and Ward. They were originally listed under Highover Drive. The properties were designed to be built against the hillside and are identical in layout to number 5 (not listed). Each house has two storeys and a roof canopy. Number 4 has a projecting bay on the right and a plain entrance door with a circular window alongside, and a full-height glazed wall to the staircase above. Number 6 features a glazed-in roof verandah, a modification that departs from the original architectural drawings. Horizontal steel casement windows are found throughout the houses. Number 4 has been extended to the right and at the rear.
