Description

No. 115 on High Street is a late 18th-century refronting of an earlier timber-framed house. It features a red brick exterior and an old tile roof with one box dormer and a parapet. The building has two storeys and an attic, with a painted band on the first floor. The doorway is located on the left and consists of a six-panel door with an elaborately traceried fanlight, flanked by fluted quarter pilasters, all set within an architrave that has a ribbed, slightly pulvinated frieze and a cornice hood. To the right of the doorway is a wide double-hung sash window set in a reveal, featuring a flat gauged arch and a projecting cill. There is a similar window above.
