Description
Severn House is a late 18th-century building located on the north side of Amersham High Street. It features a red brick facade with yellow brick arches above the door and windows. The building has an old tiled roof with a parapet and stands two storeys tall. The ground floor includes a central round-headed doorway with a double reveal leading to a six-panel door and a fanlight with a radiating pattern. On either side of the door are wide double-hung sash windows with flat gauged arches and projecting sills. The first floor has similar windows above, along with a semi-circular arched window in the center. To the left, there is a lower wing made of red brick with a slate roof, which includes a wide carriageway featuring a gauged elliptical arch and one sash window on the first floor with a flat arch.
