Description

Acacia Cottage, numbers 121, 123 and 125, is a 17th-century building with alterations from the 18th century, situated on the north side of Amersham High Street. The building is constructed of red and grey brick with an old tile roof and a substantial brick stack serving number 125, incorporating dentil brick eaves. It is two storeys in height. Number 121 features a door on the right-hand side, topped by a small hood supported by brackets. Each floor has a double-hung sash window. Number 123 has a modern door and a three-light casement window on each floor. Number 125 has a door within a more recent opening on the right, with two ground floor casement windows; the left-hand one is within the original doorway. The first floor has a three-light casement window. All ground floor openings are arched segmentally, with the exception of the door at number 125. The building is of group value, forming part of a cohesive terrace.
