Description

No 111 on High Street is an early 18th century front attached to an earlier building, likely a school and Master's House that opened in 1736. The facade features a chequer pattern of red and grey brick, with red brick dressings, quoins, and a parapet. The building has an old tiled roof with three box dormers and a moulded brick cornice. It stands two storeys tall and includes six double-hung sash windows, most of which retain their original heavy glazing bars, wooden cills, and moulded frames, with segmental arches made of red and grey bricks. There are two doors, each consisting of six fielded panels, with panelled reveals and an architrave surround that includes a pulvinated frieze and dentil cornice.
