Description
Number 2 Aylesbury Road with Number 1 Tring Road is a shop that dates back to the 17th century and has been altered over time. It features a timber frame that is cased in painted stucco. The building has an old tiled roof with a large brick chimney and one gabled dormer. It is two storeys high with an attic.
The gable facing Aylesbury Road has two modern casement windows on the first floor and a small two-light attic window. There is also a modern neo-Georgian shop window on this elevation. The side facing Tring Road has two two-light casements on the right side of the first floor, a modern neo-Georgian shop window, and a door also on the right.
Adjoining Number 1 Tring Road forms a rear wing and is included for group value. This part of the building is also finished in painted stucco, has an old tiled roof with two gables, two first-floor casements, and a modern shop window.
