Description
Wood End Farmhouse is a house dating from the 17th century, which was altered and re-faced in the early 19th century. The rear and north gable feature a timber frame with brick and rendered infill, while the gables are covered with asbestos slates. The front and south end are constructed of brick with offset eaves. It has an old tile roof and an off-centre chimney that has three square stacks made of thin brick, set diagonally on a stone base with shaped brick modillions. The house is two storeys high and has three bays. The ground floor right-hand bays contain barred sash windows, while the remaining windows are paired barred casements. The openings on the ground floor and in the left-hand bay have segmental heads. There is a four-panelled door located between the right-hand bays, with a paired casement window above it.
