Description
Dell's Farmhouse is a house dating from the 17th century that has been altered over time. The front is faced in red and vitreous brick, likely from the 18th century, but it was modified in the early 19th century. The house has an old tiled roof and features a 17th-century brick chimney with attached shafts, a projecting nib, and an offset head between the left bays, along with a later brick chimney on the right.
The building is two storeys high with an attic and consists of three bays. The left bay has four-light wooden casements, while the other bays feature 19th-century tripartite sash windows. There is a small paired wooden casement on the first floor between the left bays, situated above a lobby entry that has a 20th-century door and a flat wooden hood supported by brackets. The gables have been rebuilt using flint and brick. The rear of the house has triple gables, with the left bay projecting. The outer bays display timber framing with brick infill on the upper storeys and have irregular paired barred wooden casements.
