Description
Gibbons Farmhouse is a house dating from the 17th century, which has been significantly rebuilt in the early to mid-19th century. The front and gables are constructed of brick with a flint plinth, and there is some timber framing with plastered brick infill on the first floor at the rear of the right bay. The building features an old tile roof and has a 17th-century brick chimney with 'V' pilasters situated between the right bays, along with another brick chimney at the left end.
The farmhouse is one storey and has an attic, comprising three bays. The outer bays have three-light wooden casements, while the ground floor center has a horizontal sliding sash window with a 20th-century paired wooden casement above it. The attic windows are set in gabled eaves-line dormers, and the ground floor openings have segmental heads. There is a lobby entry with an old board door located between the right bays. At the rear, there is a later brick and flint extension with a catslide roof.
