Description

No. 5 The Croft is a cottage that dates back to the early 19th century and was originally part of a pair. It is constructed of witchert, which is colourwashed and rendered on a colourwashed rubble plinth, and features a slate roof. The building has two bays and stands two storeys high. The right-hand side has a door beneath a flat hood, while the left-hand side has a former door that has been converted into a two-light casement window. The right-hand first-floor window also has original leaded casements. There is a central stack that was formerly a party stack for each one-bay cottage. The property is listed for its group value.
