Description

The building at 19 and 21 West Street comprises an 18th-century front applied to a structure of earlier origins, likely dating to the 17th century. The rear of the building is gabled. It is two storeys high, constructed of brick with an old tile roof. The front has four windows on the first floor. The ground floor features a pair of slightly bowed shop windows, supported by cut brackets and topped with a delicate dentilled cornice. A central pair of half-glazed double doors are set within an architrave surround. The window glazing has been altered. A yard entry is located to the left. The building is part of a group which includes numbers 1 to 21 (odd) and the Ship Inn.
