Description

15 and 17 West Street is an 18th-century building that has been altered on the ground floor. It stands two storeys tall with an attic and is constructed of vitreous brick with red dressings. The building features a moulded, dentilled, and bracketed wood cornice, along with a parapet that has stone coping. The roof is hipped and covered with old tiles. The front of the building has four bays, with the flanking bays slightly projecting. The ground floor has a plain modern shop. This property, along with Nos 1 to 21 (odd) and the Ship Inn, forms a group.
