Description
The Stone Cottage, attached barn, and outbuildings form a letter L-shaped range of timber-framed and brick farm buildings, with the cottage located at the northeast. The north range features a cottage from the mid-19th century, characterized by triple casements that flank a lean-to porch and two-light first-floor windows with gablets. The west part has a brick gable wall, while the north elevation and gable are weatherboarded. The south wall is also made of brick, and the buildings have old tile roofs with a half hip to the east. In the west range, the south elevation is timber-framed and dates from the 17th century, featuring a half-hipped gable. The west elevation is made of 18th-century brick with dentil eaves, and the east elevation is weatherboarded. The buildings were originally farm structures associated with the Stone Estate.
