Description

Peterson House is a former charity cottage located on the southeast side of High Street in Chalfont St Giles. This building dates back to the 17th century and was originally three cottages. It features three bays and two storeys, with a rendered plinth, a band course, and brickwork in English bond. The central bay has a doorcase with brackets and an open pediment. The windows are later 3-light barred casements, with a 2-light window beside the door. At the rear, there is a two-storey gabled extension, and at each end of the building, there are double shafted stacks made of old thin bricks.
