Description
This headstone, dated 1718, is located 13 meters south of the southeast corner of the chancel at the Parish Church of St. Mary Magdalene in Upper Winchendon. It is made of ironstone and features an inscription set within a moulded framed stepped cross panel. The top and the adjacent lower steps are adorned with bases or urns containing flowers, while the next step down includes hourglasses. The lower half of the headstone is decorated with scrolls and foliage. The inscription is mostly illegible, except for the date.
