Description
Path Acres is a house located on the south side of Main Street in Weston Turville, dating from the 17th and 18th centuries, with some alterations. The building features red and blue vitreous brick, an old tiled roof, and a central chimney with oversailing courses. It has two gabled dormers and a moulded brick eaves cornice. The house is two stories tall with an attic and has a first-floor band course on the front elevation, which is broken in the center. The front has two bays of 20th-century three-light leaded casements, a central oriel that likely replaced a door, and a two-light casement above.
At the rear, there is a wing that is timber framed with brick infill, along with a 20th-century enclosed porch and leaded casements. The right gable end features a large square oriel with a tiled roof. Inside the rear wing, there are exposed trusses with heavy posts, tiebeams, curved braces, and windbraces. The heavy first-floor beams were mostly inserted in the 20th century, although some original timbers remain.
