Description
Potter's End Farmhouse is a house dating from around 1700, with some alterations made in the 19th century. It is constructed with a timber frame, featuring red brick infill on the rear and side elevations, and a colourwashed brick casing on the front. The roof is covered with 20th-century tiles. The house has a four-room layout, with the western bay being a 19th-century addition. It has a gable end facing the road, with a gable that projects from the center of the south elevation.
The north elevation has five two-light casement windows on the ground floor, which are set under gauged brick flat arches. In the attic, there are three gabled dormers, each with two-light casements. A plank door is located within a gabled brick porch that has a semi-circular archway. A brick band runs at the first-floor level across three original left-hand bays. There is a red brick multiple ridge stack positioned slightly off the line with the doorway, and an integral red brick stack on the east gable end. Additionally, a single-storeyed brick outbuilding extends from the western end of the south elevation.
