Description

Pear Tree Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century, which was altered and extended in the 18th century. It is constructed of colourwashed brick, featuring thin timber framing in the upper part of the front wall. The cottage has a thatched roof with chimneys at the center and the right gable. It is two storeys high and has four bays, with the right bay being an 18th-century brick addition. The entrance is located in the second bay from the left, beneath an open porch that also has a thatched roof. The building includes three 3-light leaded casement windows with segmental arched heads on the ground floor, as well as two 3-light and one 2-light leaded casement windows on the upper floor.
