Description

Vine Cottage is a house dating to the 17th century, with later alterations. The rear and east gable show exposed timber framing with whitewashed brick infill and weatherboarding. The south front has been rebuilt in whitewashed brick, while the west gable is rendered. The roof is thatched. Brick stacks are located on the gables and in the centre of the front. The house is one-and-a-half storeys high, with four irregular bays. The ground floor has irregular 20th-century casements with wooden bars; the first floor has similar 19th-century casements, with three lights in the left-hand bays and two lights to the right. A 20th-century door is located in the second bay, with single lights on either side. A small brick boiler house is attached to the east gable. A lean-to has been added to the rear.
