Description
This is a chest tomb located in the Old Churchyard, dating from the early 19th century. Made of ironstone, the tomb is square in shape with balustered corners and originally featured an urn, which is now missing. It rests on a panelled tapered plinth and a double-stepped base. The tomb commemorates Benjamin Thomas, who died in 1792 and served as Rector of Foscott for three years, along with other members of his family. It is situated approximately 2 meters north of the southern boundary wall of the Old Churchyard.
