Description

This barn and cowshed, located 20 meters south of Sandpit Lane Farmhouse, dates from the mid to late 18th century. It features a timber frame with weatherboarding, a brick and flint plinth, and a half-hipped roof made of corrugated iron. The structure consists of six bays, with the right bays possibly being of a later date, and a four-bay cowshed projecting to the left. There are cart entries in bays two and five, with dormer openings above on the south side. The left bays have queen strut trusses on braced tie beams, while the right-hand trusses include raking queen posts. A 20th-century Dutch barn is located at the northern angle.
