Description
This barn, located approximately 35 metres south-east of Bilsdens Farmhouse, dates from the late 16th century and has been converted into a cowshed. It features a timber frame and is weatherboarded, topped with a half-hipped roof made of red plain tiles, constructed using queen struts. The barn consists of four bays, with arched braces supporting the tie beams, and includes a gabled midstrey with jowled posts. The structure has halved and bridled scarf joints. Additionally, there are lean-to extensions on both the right and left sides of the midstrey, clad in slate and pantiles, respectively.
