Description

Middle Farm Barn is a barn with an attached cowshed, dating from the early 18th century. The barn is constructed of coursed sandstone rubble with ironstone galleting and features a half-hipped roof that is now covered in corrugated iron. It has a moulded plinth and two ventilation slips at each end, along with a central cart entrance. The barn consists of five bays and includes aisles, jowled posts with a cut profile, angled queen struts, and through purlins. Attached to the east is a contemporary single-storey cowshed, also made of coursed sandstone rubble with ironstone galleting, red brick quoins, and a hipped tile roof.
