Description

Stocks in Thornton in Lonsdale, dating from the early 18th century, have been altered in the 20th century. The structure features millstone grit posts that are approximately 1.1 metres tall, with mortices on the inner faces for a former top rail. The millstone grit base includes four notches, while the wooden top rail was added around 1970.
