The walled kitchen garden to Halsteads, located in Thornton in Lonsdale, is likely from the early 19th century. It is constructed of rubble with millstone grit coping and stands between 2 and 3 metres high. The garden features a round arched entrance on the east side, complete with imposts and a keyed arch, and includes a plank door.
