Barn Approximately 15 Metres West Of Peggles Wright Farmhouse

This barn, located approximately 15 meters west of Peggles Wright Farmhouse, is likely from the late 18th century and has been extended. It is constructed from roughly-coursed sandstone rubble with quoins and features a stone slate roof. The barn has a rectangular plan positioned at right angles to the hillside, with a stable at the higher north end and a shippon added to the west side.

The central part of the barn includes a segmental-headed wagon doorway with a dressed chamfered surround. To the left, there is a square-headed doorway with a stable door, featuring a monolith lintel and a slate drip-course above. Between these doorways, there is one slit breather, and above, there are eight similar breathers. To the right, there are square-headed doorways now covered by a 20th-century corrugated sheet roof.

At the north end, built into the bank, is a two-bay stable with a hay-loft, which has two doorways accessed by a long L-shaped ramp. The left gable features three small windows and three breathers above. A lean-to shippon covers the rear wall. The barn forms a group with Peggles Wright Farmhouse, located approximately 15 meters to the east.
