Description

Dykelands Farmhouse is an 18th-century farmhouse with 17th-century origins, constructed from slobbered rubble with stone dressings and a stone slate roof. The building is two storeys high and has three bays. The entrance, located to the left of centre, features plain jambs made of milled stone on square blocks and a plain lintel topped with a gabled hood made of two stone slabs supported by shaped brackets. It has a 20th-century four-panelled door.

On the ground floor, there are two windows, each with three lights, featuring plain surrounds made of milled stone and recessed flat-faced mullions. The central window on the upper floor has a slightly projecting surround, while the flanking upper floor windows mirror the ground floor design but have two lights. All windows are fitted with 20th-century casements and fixed lights. The eaves are adorned with stone modillions.

The right gable end has a ridge stack made of coursed dressed stone, and there is a rubble ridge stack to the left of the entrance. At the rear, there is a 17th-century double-chamfered window on the ground floor and an upper floor round-headed window with double chamfered jambs and stone voussoirs.
